Cate in NZ
Well, I wore my pedometer today, and whilst there was a lot of sitting and eating cake I did walk from Kew Bridge Station to Victoria Gate and back, as well as some gentle wandering around Kew in between (but not a lot ). Took my pedometer off when I got home, feeling all smug, bound to have built up a healthy total I thought. 30 steps was all the bloomin' thing had recorded . I must have inadvertently switched it off somewhere along the line . Oh, well, plenty of room for improvement then
Guest
How disappointing! Share mine Kate. We must have done a similar amount and I've recorded 10400. You know you did the walking so don't feel too disappointed! What have you got lined up for tomorrow? (My feet are aching far too much for walking!) I hope you're all set to wear your pedometer tomorrow Sheila. It was lovely to meet you (too briefly!) and thank you very much for my lovely keychain. It's proudly attached to my bag and Esther tells me the name is 'Ginger'! (I fell asleep during Chicken Run over Christmas"!)

Lesley
KateA - too much in common I wore mine on Saturday and believe me I walked too far - but mine only recorded 551 at the end of the day When we left Kew and caught the train back to Waterloo, there had been a points failure on the tube so we took a cab to Knightsbridge to meet up with the rest of family. We had to walk from Knightsbridge to Hyde Park corner to get the tube back to Waterloo and later walked around Westminster - 551?
Aylana
Well I only did 2900 yesterday but that isn't including the hour of Tae Bo that I did in the morning. As until this week I hadn't been to the gym properly since the beginning of november I now ache all over I am going to attempt a walk to the shops to stretch my poor muscles a bit but if that doesn't work then I'm staying sat down once I get to work!! ps Had never been to Tae Bo before but it is really good fun if anyone is considering it, it brought out my well hidden competitive nature and is great for getting rid of frustration! The Dogmother
I'm gonna get one at the weekend, so will join in your posts. You spent 2 hours having your nails done Buffie What was wrong with them? They looked fine to me. Mind you, mine are really manky. A friend of mine owns a nail bar and is always on at me to get those tip thingies done, but they're just not me at all. Rosie loves going to see her and usually gets her nails painted pink - just like you BB.
buffie
Sorry to busy with my intro to post anywhere but chicken forum Well I've had a wrap on my nails, Acrylic, Clare because I have stubby hands and have had tips sooo many times but end up breaking them etc, I even trained 10 years ago to do my own but again giving the time up is difficult so going somewhere works better, did do my own for many years though. I am too into getting messy and doing things to keep my hands tidy but if I pay to have them done I treat them better. People notice hands so I am giving it a try again. All part of my birthdy treats to me! Have pedometer on and ready to go this morning, rise ans shine! BBx
Aylana
I did about 8000 yesterday so not too bad. I am wondering if I can get away with wearing my pedometer on a night out tonight as there is bound to be plenty of walking and dancing! Karen & co.
I got our confirmation just to say that a group of us from school have got a place on a Midnight Walk in June for our local hospice It's 13.5 miles and starts at midnight on 17th June, so lots of training required in this neck of the woods, hope the pedometer is up to it!!! Aylana
lol, I think I will wear it (and try not to lose it!) I will post the results tomorrow (if I'm not so hungover I spend all day in bed! ) Good luck Karen! Thats a great cause to do a walk for. Am going to go and have some tea now before I start getting tarted up!
