-xJuliex-
Hi, Just wondering what do you use for your girls dust bath? I'm new to all this and im unsure what to use, ive just finished cleaning out the run and ive bought wood chippings to cover to floor as it was getting quite muddy and now the girls cant make their own little hole to shimmy around in! Laura & CTB
Hi Julie Just get an old container, flower pot etc and fill it with sand, soil. ash etc and your girls will love it! Or if they get to free range and you have a patch of soil they'll make their own I use a shallow trug tub filled with playsand, some diatom and a bit of red mite powder - they love throwing it everywhere

WitchHazel
Someone on another thread said they used a a shallow tubtrug. It's wide, so the sand doesn't tend to get thrown out, and you can buy a cover for it to keep them clean. Best of all, they come in a range of Eglue/Cube matching colours http://www.tubtrugs.com/tubtrugs.html
theherd123
I have a shallow purple tubtrug and the girls love to dust bathe in it I add compost, a little sand if i have any and some red mite powder
xScrunchee
Mine have a large cat litter tray which I fill with a mixture of playsand, compost and a sprinkling of red mite powder. None of mine will use the dust bath if I just use the playsand without the compost.
