Laura007
can anyone tell me where the game of football takes place that hundreds of people take part in. its very dangerous and quite brutal and i think the goals are at each end of a village or town. i think that ball they use is an old fashioned big brown ball. it normally gets a bit of tv coverage. please can someone help????? Couperman
I think it still played quite a lot across the country. Just do a search on 'Mob football' and you will see what I mean. I think Alnwick still do one. Kev.

Tina C
There used to be one at Atherstone - 'The Ball Game' when I was at -ahem - grammar school there. No idea if they still do it. We all used to get the afternoon off - I think it was around Easter - was it Shrove Tuesday?
