susanbb
Are you watching What do you think of Kylie
Guest
I watched a little just to see her (then I remembered just how dull I find Dr Who - sorry!). She's looking good - but you can see a few age lines creeping in around her eyes, mind you what she's been throuh its not really surprising. Guest
I specifically wanted to see how well she is aging - I'm nearly 39 myself and its always good to see how beautiful women are doing without assistance. She still looks like a girl though. I wondered about the storyline a bit - I wonder if they had to pay Douglas Adams estate anything becasue of his Starship Titanic concept. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Starship_Titanic. However I was too bored by the sameyness of a Dr Who story to really make any paralells (really sorry but I just don't get it - one of my best friends is a total Dr Who nutter as well - met all the Doctors, written a book on it etc). Snowy
I really enjoyed it, but as usual missed the middle bit as the children got restless! Kylie is gorgeous as ever! (As is the lovely Mr Tennant ) Not impressed that Ms Tate will be back though

Guest
She's lovely and I won't have a word said against her! She is lovely and still looks like the girl nextdoor with a few crinkles around the edges giving away her real age and the hardships she's had in life. I still don't think she is truly happy but always comes across as "Kylie, Kylie your so smiley". My mate is one of those obsessive people who gets totally into something, Dr Who is one of her biggest things, met current husband at a Dr Who convention too, you can imagine the family sitting round watching it now! She knows I switch off when she talks about it though - we are two people who are so different we shouldn't get on at all but we get on like a house on fire. Basset
I thought Kylie was surprisingly good in it. I was impressed. And as for David Tennant .......... PHWOAR !!!!!! The best Dr Who ever!!!

Sheilaz
Well, I haven't seen it yet but, as someone who has enjoyed it on/off since the Hartnell days I shall report back when I have. We never watch TV on Christmas Day as we share the day with relatives and play quizzes & family games, but sis in law kindly recorded it for me. chickencam
I was very disapointed, I didn't like the way t6hat they built up characters only to kill them off in a kids show that is a no no. Kylie was great so much better than Ms Tate but as happened last year lots of build up to be disapointed.
Jules.
Hmm. Kylie did look good, as did the lovely Mr Tennant But.... we found the plot line rubbish, & the action much more violent than a "normal' episode- perhaps it should have come with a rating? I was worried because Ethan kept saying "is he deaded" as characters were killed off. Perhaps we shouldn't have let him watch it.... being only 3- but he is a huge fan & got lots of DW presents for Christmas. He ended up in our bed at 2am, which is unusual. I know it was watching the programme that made him need comfort, & although I'm not quite kicking myself for letting him watch last night, we won't be making any references to that episode again

bronze
Hmm.Kylie did look good, as did the lovely Mr Tennant But.... we found the plot line rubbish, Agreed and I have to say though she looked good and was fine when she was doing a longer bit of speech her gazes off into distance were awful. I was actually really disapointed especially as I had convinced dh to watch it with me and had to say this isnt as good as normal to which he replied stop making excuses for the 'rubbish' you watch. at the beginning DH actually said to me I dont liek those host things. (Theyre normally the kind of dr who scary thing we really dont like - mannequins etc) but they were tame. How long do I have to wait again cos I want something good to watch to make up for it. We don't usually watch Dr Who, but we had older cousins and nephews over for the day and they were desperate to view it. My 4 year old wasn't really watching it, but did see a few clips of it in passing. Today he kept mentioning it and was asking about the funny red man with spikey face, and why the angels were bad, he was obviously slightly troubled by it. I don't think I'd let him see it again. chocchick
No-one mentioned the new music. Anyway, it was not bad as was a RTD episode. I never picked them out as weaker until I started reading Dan's posts! I dislike the brightly coloured aliens with funny names he seems to like, and some of the repetitive things the Dr does in every RTD episode. I did like Kylie and the Dr. I think Kylie looks fantastic, but maybe didn't look as good as she normally looks in the episode. Me and OH think the blond girl in the blink episode or even the girl in the fireplacewould make a good assistant. P.S. did anyone see Robbie the reindeer and notice the similarities to the Arachnid 2006 Christmas monster in Dr Who...
bronze
Me and OH think the blond girl in the blink episode or even the girl in the fireplacewould make a good assistant. Dont know how comfortable it would be on set as he used to date the girl in the fire place (Sophia Myles) I didnt watch blink in the end (well first 5 minutes) but the blonde girl was Ada in bleak house and was also in northanger abbey. I could see her as being quite good if she can throw off her 'young' image a bit.
chickenlover
Kylie does look very good, its nice to see her as she really is instead of hundreds of pictures with her airbrushed to unhuman like, but as DT is so georgous he outshines even the best assistants, and i truly cant belive the ppl that make dr.who can be stupid enough to bring back cathrine tate, her acting in the last christmas special was appaling
Jules.
Does DT not go out with Sophia any more? Don't tell hubby........
