sparkleeeeee Posted January 3, 2008 Share Posted January 3, 2008 I am just so excited after all the waiting and worrying one of my cream legbars has laid an egg and it was a lovely BLUE. i saw it when i went to shut the cube door. i always say goodnight through the egg port door and there it was. daisy and the babies sleep in the nesting box so i moved the egg so it didnt get broken and i will put it back in the morning for edward to find. he will be sooooooooo excited. just had to tell you all they are 47 weeks old when i bought them at 17 weeks the breeder said it would be about four weeks before i had an egg. it has been a long wait but i think they have just been perfecting their first eggs. it is quite large and has a really hard shell, i had been expecting softies at first. i will put a photo in my album in the morning.
