Well said, Dan! I agree absolutely - reading what others say on here has made me question some of the things I do, and I've had so much useful advice about 'green' things, veg growing ... oh yes, and chickens!

I've changed a lot of things over the last year, especially what I eat, recycle and use in the house.

I just laughed at the 'designer label' thing - and if you read this woman's blog, it tells you everything you need to know about her!

I really need to spend less time on here though. I should be downstairs with my steam cleaner ...

I think the press has been responsible for some of the misconseptions that Eglu owners are all yuppie numpties.

Phrases like 'latest chic accessory for the middle classes in the suburbs.' is not likely to give the right impression is it?

I am sure Omlet were glad of the publicity at the time, but it is easy to imagine how a traditionalist poultry keeper could form a false impression of the average Eglu owner having read an article like this simply because the article has the above phrase and mentions the borough of Chealsea a couple of times.

Anyway, i'm off to order my new Cube 'bling'. I think it will look reet git good with gold leaf trimmings.

Edit 2: I have just read the comments on the above times page, and I am sure I recognise a couple of the more eloquaint(sp) posters

Kev.

PS well done Sheila! working hard on the Omlet night shift again

Edited cos it didn't make sense, and I previewd it three times too!
