Fabergé
OK but what about the rights of the poor down trodden stainless steel spoon? It's not just for stirring you know. What about its use as a substitute screwdriver or garden tool? These 'standard' spoons have feelings too you know...
craftyhunnypie
Nah, I like my wooden spoons for stirring stuff (just like granny used to use) & when they are too old, they make good firewood! Emma.x
Couperman
i thought this was about hen houses, I need glasses! It is a tongue in cheek parody, Poet. But you knew that, right? Kev.
Olly
Perhaps when stirring spoons get better lives we can turn our attention to all the poor lost, teaspoons. Where do they go, does anyone care? I care, deeply. I found a sad, lost spoon this summer when I dug the compost out from the bottom of the heap - we were reunited with glad cries of joy. Egluntyne
We found an old apostle teaspoon blocking the kitchen sink drain at my daughters house. It was the previous owners. I'm always having to restock my depleted teaspoons. I wonder if they go to the same place as lost socks.
Ain't Nobody Here
I too have lost teaspoons . I don't know whether to be berating myself for my carelessness and lack of attention to their wellbeing or angry with them for not listening to my advice about personal safety. They will insist on gadding about on their own - if only they went about in pairs or more they would have been safe, I'm sure of it . And do they call to let me know where they are and if they can get home? Pah!!
Lesley
The composition of the lost teaspoons obviously has an effect on mobile phone signals then ANH? You really would think they'd phone to let you know they were safe Have you all thought of advertising on the backs of milk cartons? - someone may know of their whereabouts! Egluntyne
They get their own back by poking the eye out of people daft enough to leave them in the cup whilst drinking.

chickenlass
They get their own back by poking the eye out of people daft enough to leave them in the cup whilst drinking. Perhaps the poke in the eye is a deliberate ploy to blind us so we can't see where it is they vanish to! edited to add and what about the spoons that appear from no where?? I have one in my kitchen drawer that isn't from any cutlry set I have ever owned and no one has any idea how it got there
