Tesco direct are USELESS - I had one of these ridiculous all day deliveries from them once and was told that the only way I would get an am/pm delivery slot instead was to ORDER IN STORE!!!

The annoying thing for me was the delivery boys phoned me five minutes before they turned up to make sure I was in! Surely they could have done that an hour before so I could leave work in plenty of time.

 

They also ummed and arrrred as to whether it would fit through the door. I assured them it would as i checked before we ordered it.

 

The guy said we may need to take off your Kitchen door do you have a power driver? I replied no but I do have a an old fashioned one that requires some elbow grease, and if you remove my door you need to re-hang it properly. They opted to take off the handles of the fridge instead, and like I told them it went through with 2mm to spare!

 

Just had our first glass of filtered water with crushed ice!

It is one of those and I must admit I am very impressed. The old ice cube trays from previous still running alongside fridge will now become chicken stock cube thingymejigs.

 

I know I shouldn't get emotional about kitchen appliances but, I feel quite sorry for old faithful, it looks quite sad next to the new imposter, you can almost hear it say 'I can do ice too you know, like I have for the past ten years'

Now I am sulking because I want one of those.

 

AND a new kitchen to go with it.

 

We are making do with a 'narrow' one from our old house - and the beer has to go outside (not so good in summer)
