Dratted mobile phone

Recommended Posts

My phone displays "SIM card rejected" or "SIM card unaccepted".

The SIM (subscriber identity module) card is a small card inside your phone that establishes a network connection.

The SIM card is provided by your operator or service provider. In most cases, they are the best source of assistance with SIM card problems.

Your phone may display a SIM card error message if:

* The SIM card is out of alignment. If the phone has recently been dropped, bumped, or opened, the SIM card may need adjusting. Follow the SIM card installation instructions in your user guide.

* The PUK (Personal Unblocking Key) code is entered incorrectly multiple times. This can inactivate the SIM card. If inactivation appears to be permanent, contact your operator or service provider for a new SIM card.

* You have recently changed service providers. In this case, either your SIM card or your phone may be configured for your previous operator and may require reconfiguring. Please contact your current operator or service provider for assistance.

If none of the situations above apply and you continue to receive this error message, your SIM card may be damaged. Please contact your operator or service provider to have the SIM card tested and/or replaced.

I was going to suggest a new sim card. Having said that I have seen new Nokias for less then £15  and that is pay as you go. I do not have a contract and prob spend less then £10 a month. You would like to think that phones will last you longer then 18 months

All the directors at work have them Paola - they're not too impressed as they sometimes can't view their emails.

He has already wanted to jump up and down on it because he could not set it up to receive his emails :lol: A friend/customer sorted it for him

I've got the new Nokia N95 - its brill.

It didn't cost me a thing as I pinched it from The Hubby.....

I can go online ,see my emails & it takes fab pictures too. reviews have put it above the i-phone for a phone of that type.

Nice to have a good camera on a phone in case I se Liam Gallagher in Tesco again :lol:

Just had a look at it on-line and one site said that due to high demand they will only sell one per customer  Must be good
