kannie
Do you remember back in the autumn when Louise, a film-making student, asked for volunteers to help with her film on Urban Chickens? Well we did, and although it was very strange (and cold) at the time, the completed DVD has just arrived and it's lovely!!! I'm so pleased! red
How long is it? Maybe a viewing could be incorporated into the official summer get-together?
Cate in NZ
Excellent idea Red Were there many other eglu owners/ city chicken keepers featured in the film Christine?
kannie
There were three of us - all eglu owners of course! And it shows a bit of an eglu being made! And some lovely surreal pics of a man standing with a chicken under his arm with key London sights in the background! And really good close up shots of chickens! Its just under 5 mins, so we could easily show it at the get together (if someone had a laptop to play it on).
red
I had in mind a BIG SCREEN

HennyPenny
We're on it too!! Had a family screening last night (think it's only about 3 mins start to finish) and it was a bit cringe-making but we enjoyed our 10 seconds of fame! kannie
Oooh! HennyPenny! You must be the person going to collect new chickens! Good to meet you! It was a relief to see it because it could have been very cringe making, and actually I think it was light-hearted and whimsical without making fun of us! (though no doubt some would laugh!!) Mel (& Paul)
Congratulations on your new found fame!!!! It would be great to see you on screen - I am sure one of the omlet lads could bring a lap top to the get together, but if not I am happy to bring mine (as long as you remind me )

chocchick
Is that a direct phone number to James or the omlet number? Surely anyone could just phone him up if he shows his phone number on the forum

kannie
James I don't think your link works. Barbara sent me this one, but I seem to get sound only, no picture! http://www.omlet.co.uk/products_services/products_services.php?view=Chickens&about=our%20customers Maybe a mod can help? Mrs Frugal
No luck for me either. I'll e-mail James and give him a nudge!
Richard T
I was afraid this might happen. Obviously word has got out that there are a couple of clips of me in the film (helping HennyPenny when we got Rita and Mavis), and the demand from all you laydeez out there wanting to get a glimpse of me has overloaded the server. Nicola H
So true Richard .............................
HennyPenny
Please don't encourage him! He was just as bad when I put the pictures in the gallery and he spotted that the pic of him had more 'hits' than the chickens. I kept telling him it was the bark chipping run he'd created that was the attraction but he wouldn't listen.
