SeasideChick
Hi All, I am a newbie here and am really excited because I have just ordered a RED EGLU CUBE today!!! Can't wait! Hubby is building a fixed run for the chooks and where it's going to be there is a RHODEDENDRON and a PHOTINIA (soz for spelling if it's incorrect). We thought it might be nice to leave these shrubs in the run but then wondered if they might be poisonous to the chickens. We've no idea?? Anyone got any ideas if these or any shrubs are poisonous to chickens???? Of course, if any doubt, we'll just remove them first. Thanks a lot and look forward to chatting more!! Carol U
We have a lot of rhododendrons in the garden and our chooks love to make dust baths under them. Don't know about photinia, but basically chooks won't eat things which are bad for them, so don't worry. I think it's good that they will have plants in their run.
