Willow
I had planned to but spent so much of the day retrieving escapee chickens from neighbours gardens (they got into three different neighbours more than once) that we ended up putting them all in the run and not letting them out. My husband then spent a while patching up a hole in our boundary we didn't know was there, closing up gaps beside one gate and trying to fix the gate on the other side. Unfortunately towards the bottom of the garden we need several fence panels replaced and it's not our boundary 2 sections need redoing, one is where we want to build a permanent enclosure so I guess we'd best go talk to next door... AJuff
I jet washed the roosting bars today after reading about it in a thread on here. I will never scrub ever again.
chrisnrob
Got back from a night flight this morning and decided to give the eglus and run a thorough clean out. And also to ring me by mistake. I have 5 mins of your pocket rustling on my answering machine Ours got cleaned yesterday as part of our Hen Party. However, Chris ended up doing it as demonstration rather than the course attendees doing it Must make a mental note to try different approach next time - getting your Eglu cleaned is supposed to be one of the perks of running a Hen Party Rob
Treekeeper
jetwashed eglu inside and out and patio and finished off the new run! But now I have it looks so big with only two chooks in it must get some more OH says it's cruel to keep more than two in an eglu!

Pinkybijou
After putting it off yesterday, at last I cleaned my eglu today - SO EASY! I got the hosepipe out and just zapped the lot. The kids loved it and although our chooks looked a bit nervous with jets of child-aimed water zooming across the garden they are now nestled in a clean snug and warm eglu again. Cleaning out the bark chippings was a much quicker job than I'd anticipated too. I love my EGLU!!!
