BeckyBoo
....took the dog for a walk at Horsell Common, not the most inspiring place but today it was fab! Blue skies.... wet dog..... Tired puppy, not a bad size for 7 months! - can we go home now mum? I've got no kids, they were at nannies last night and as an extra bonus they're there again tonight. So I am shortly off up the pub with OH, then we're coming back for roast Aberdeen Angus, then back to the pub for a jam night that OH organises. It don't get much better than this. Hope the sun is shining on you all Mrs Bertie
Cinnamon
Its truly gorgeous here too. The Eglus are clean, Hubby has finished patioing around the new hen pan & I have put out the last of my solar fairy lights The eldest STILL stayed in bed until gone 12, but I guess you can't have it all
Joojoo
It is certainly shining here!! Absolutely beautiful day The frost is still on the roof tops and the lawn where the sun hasn't reached, but even though it's still very cold it's so cheering to see gorgeous blue skies and that lovely big orange thing back where it belongs I find that I want to do so much more and feel loads happier in myself when the sun in shining! By the way - the pup is gorgeous
Ain't Nobody Here
Sounds lovely Mrs Bertie . Better than my morning standing at the edge of a football pitch watching my son play against a nasty, aggressive team of neds (with matching parents ). Our boys held their own (and their tempers) until 3 unlucky goals in the last 10 minutes .

jomaxsmith
I even managed to get my couch potato boys playing in the garden! They devised a game of digging a hole for Lily. Ds1 wasn't even put off when she got a bit too keen and pecked his finger - he is very wary of animals so it was lovely to see him keen to play outside with her. He even took his colouring pens outside so he could be near her. I have to say in my defence this area of bare soil is my currently vacant veg patch - not the flower border! Jo See there it is again, that green stuff. I vaguely remember that, what is it again? Oh yes! I remember, it's grass!! How have you still got some?! How have you still got some?! As I said before - only 3 hens and they've got much better things to do like eat the newly emerging perennials, scratch up the Forget-me-Nots and dustbathe in the raspberries (which I netted off last week - with net that had chicken sized holes ) Here's my reference point for the garden last summer - wonder what it'll look like this year...! Guest
We went for a walk around Hyde Hall this morning. Then I did a bit of light gardening, mowed the lawn planted a few things and did a bit more work getting the veggie patch ready.
BeckyBoo
Well, I am well and truly pickled! I've had a fantastic night, (apart from the cold bath where I ran out of hot water!) Been to OH's jam night, arranged myself some secret guitar lessons which I've ben trying to do for about a month, it's to surprise OH the guitar player in the family on my 40th in July, danced, sang (badly) and laughed more than than I've laughed in a long while and now it's gone 3, I giggled all the way home, and I'll laugh even more when he gets up at7 and I've got no kids and no work Life is not bad! Ain't Nobody Here
She'll not be on for a while . Can you believe I got myself and the boys up an hour too early this morning . Somehow my alarm clock's time was set an hour ahead so we got up at 6.10am instead of 7.10 .

BeckyBoo
I think I am dying. Despite two paracetomol at 9 this morning my head is pounding, I feel sick, all I can do is sit perfectly still. I'm supposed to be collecting the children, I just spoke to them on the phone but even talking makes me feel sick. I haven't ven managed to get dressed or have a shower. I did retire to bed and shut the curtains as the light is killing my eyes, but OH is on an important call and needs the computer so I've had to crawl back downstairs where I am wrapped in two fleeces on the sofa. I can't manage the other tablet I've been given as I can't drink anything. I'm not used to drinking you see, genuinely, so despite the fantastic night I had, I AM NEVER DOING IT AGAIN. BeckyBoo
In fact I got better at about 1ish, forced myself top have abig drink of water on the "kill or cure" theory and was much better. I just couldn't face even water before that. So a hot bath and some scrambled fresh eggs on toasted homemade bread and I was right as rain, or thereabouts! Must be said I'm still tired and jaded, the children are all back in hyper mode so it could be a long evening. But you're right, it was worth it! The best evenings are often the ones you didn't expect. Mrs Bertie
