Daisy's mum
Hello all If you click on the HOME link of the Omlet site a lilac cube is there somewhere, just keep clicking and it will come up. That is how I found out that there was a new colour, when I emailed Barbara she told me about the lilac eglu and I was lucky enough to get one. Still don't know exactly how many were made though........ Barbara told me 10, so did the girl on the switch when I ordered. Julie x
feemcg
I was told 100 of each. I've seen the cube on the home page - I thought it was just a purple one that had been taken in a light that made it look a bit paler. I think it looks darker than my lilac eglu. Egluntyne
If you mean **this one**...the picture has been there for ages. There was a paler batch of purple made. Someone's avatar shows an Eglu of this colour too. I imagined the lilac to be paler than this. I could be wrong!
Daisy's mum
Yes thats the one I mean! Actually you are right, my eglu is lighter and much prettier than that one Julie x
ubereglu
I think that one's a purple cube actually and that it belongs to someone on here-can't remember the name though-they used to/still do own a blue eglu and had/have a chicken called ASBO. I'm sure that is Gallina's. Darn it, you had me all excited then - was hoping for a glimpse of the elusive lilac cube Go on Egluntine, you know you want one! Egluntyne
I've pretty much decided that I'm going for the purple, although I would like a glimpse of the lilac. But not just yet.....I want to et my walk in run fettled first., so it will be a couple of months or so.
Olly
well I've ordered a purple cube! I have been dithering for weeks now (see my post above) so I thought I'd just ring Omlet and find out about deliveries ... and when she offered 25th March, it just seemed silly to put it off any longer. (I'm closing my mind to the credit card bill - with luck I'll sell the Eglus before the bill comes in). I have several interested parties already! I hesitated over the 1m extension. Then I recalled this time last year, when I thought 'three chickens? that would be silly - two is plenty' so I have ordered that as well. I'm going to investigate my local breeder, I love my gingernuts and they are reliable layers but I would like something different this time. Maybe one that lays different colour eggs ... Luthien
OOooo congrats Olly!!!! Mum and I decided last night that the eglu is cheaper so get that, but then this morning I was worried if 3 chickens in it would be happy as when we move there is a fox (family) that comes into the garden. Its a shame really as I LOVE LOVE LOVE Foxes but can't have them near the chooks, anyway we have a few pets 4 cats and 2 dogs that might scare them off a bit (ok I can't say that our dogs would scare them as its a chihuahua whos mine called Dobby and mums WEIRD toy poodle Tiffany) so because of the fox they wouldn't be able to be let out a lot of the time, so now we are thinking of the cube as buying an extension would bump the price up for the eglu and we prob get some more chooks from the lincs show..or at least thats my plan Hope that makes sense thou the delivery time for the eglu was 5 days!!!! and the cube again without chooks (live too far from them) 2-3 weeks so thats not so bad.
