kannie
The Omlet lads mentioned that the Bokashi stuff can be given in the feed too, and it is supposed to neutralise the acidity of their poo. What is this bokashi stuff? And where does it come from?

kannie
Ah - thank you. Must have missed it. Has anyone tried it? Are there good reports on it?
Happymama
Ah - thank you. Must have missed it. Has anyone tried it? Are there good reports on it? I've just googled the stuff, and think I might try it. I'm a bit of a gadget person, and so much could be gadgest for hens, so to speak. But this seems to fulfil more than one function. And will stop the garden where i dump the droppings tray contents becoming too acidic to grow anything in. However, I am sweeping suppliers to price this stuff up. Wigglywigglers sell it at £6.40 incl p&p - so Omlet is cheaper by 15p! (bigger quantities might be cheaper, though.)
