Sarah B
Hi all, Cleaned it all out for the first time today in the bad weather! It took 30 mins with a power washer, ecover and a scrubbing brush so not too bad at all for a first go! I think this will probably be the worst clean as a) it's been a week and a half and b) one of the girls had the trots for the first 2 days which I have put down to moving-in stress as she is fine now. Tip - put the clean roosting bars back BEFORE you put the eglu cover back on - I'm so dim LOL
Laura & CTB
Tip - put the clean roosting bars back BEFORE you put the eglu cover back on - I'm so dim LOL Glad you got on alright with the cleaning - it is pretty easy isn't it? I STILL forget to put the bars back first - they do fit afterwards but you have to swear at them for a couple of minutes
chelsea
30 minutes still isnt bad going so well done! You probably will get quicker though once you get in your routine. Its so easy to clean isnt it? and the best thing - you can dry it completely unlike a wooden house.
Hen Watch
Tip - put the clean roosting bars back BEFORE you put the eglu cover back on Or for lazy so and so's like me...... I bought a spare set from Omlet. I have to say the ease of cleaning is just great. I couldn't buy a wooden house after having an eglu. They are pretty but wood just takes ages to dry. Ain't Nobody Here
I stick mine in the cupboard where the central heating boiler is - they dry really quickly there .
