clucky1
The sky man has just arrived. We have had normal sky for many years - but have finally taken the plunge to get Sky plus fitted. I can't wait to have a fiddle with the remote - I am really excited (sad I know) I have been told that you can do alot more with sky plus. The man is up the ladder now. Hope he doesn't get blown off !

clucky1
He has been - and gone. Very nice Italian (not as nice as you Oh - if you are spying - again) So far I have Managed to work out how to 'pause' - record - Although I did record some Spanish football match - by accident I think it is fairly easy to use. Will carry on playing with pinger. (my housework will never get done)
Egluntyne
I can't imagine how we managed without Sky+!! You'll love it!
jomaxsmith
I love Sky+. In fact, we rarely watch anything at the time of transmission - the luxury of being able to forward the adverts means we usually watch things later just so we can skip the ads! Series link is also brilliant if, like me, you are rubbish at remembering when things are on. I wouldn't be without Sky+ now! (That's obviously really shallow and if it was the choice of keeping Sky+ or paying for a family member's life saving op I like to think I'd do the decent thing....) Reikiranf
We're too mean to pay for Sky But we do have a pvr ( freeview recorder) and that seems similar as we can pause live tv or we also record things and watch them later fast forwarding through the adverts it usually knocks 15 minutes off of an hours viewing, which is great because I often find that the ad breaks are so long I forget what I was watching

chelsea
I can't imagine how we managed without Sky+!! Totally agree - its fantastic! I always have full up page of recordings! I always tape stuff "for a rainy day" (old movies etc) just in case there isnt much on "live" telly then I have that to fall back on. We also have multiroom which is fab as I can go to bed and watch a film whilst hubby stays downstairs and watches something else
Louisdog
Another vote here for Sky+ I was really resistant when hubby first suggested it as it seemed expensive and unnecessary, but now I can't see how we ever lived without it! Live pause, series link, etc, are fab!

Live pause, series link, etc, are fab! I didn't tell my Hubby, I just got it & said 'oh,look what I can make Sky do now!' I did 'fess up a while later & he was so impressed he got multi room for his garage too

I can't justify paying for even more channels with nothing I'd like to watch. The digital recorder works just fine for us. In fact, I spend most of my time on here so never get to watch TV anyway! Guest
Couldn't live without it. NEVER watch anything live I even have a trick with F1 I start watching it 20 mins AFTER it starts, then FF the adverts and I'm on live time by the end so I can see the finish live. OK I@m VERY VERY VERY sad I must say it's dead annoying now that I have to ff the adverts in the middle of neighbours. Is also great for watching the BBC on recorded - they always have the times out on BBC1 and 2, that is Eastenders finishes and you've missed 5 mins of Gardeners world = set them both up on auto record and you can just rw to the beginning of gardeners world. (when they don't take it off air for STUPID POINTLESS SPORT!!!)
KateP
We got sky+ a couple of months ago now and we wouldn't be without it. It was also much cheaper at the time if we bought multi room with it so it was a good excuse to have that set up upstairs!
