Cinnamon
I have just been scrubbing my Eglu which is now on a nice raised platform away from muddy feet. Anyhow,I was pondering how much I would like an Orange one, when it occured to me that what I would REALLY like is an orange one with all the pale grey bits in yellow If they made the grey bits in different colours we could sort of mix & match, building our own bespoke Eglus Red with blue bits would be good, or blue with pink bits. Just don't mention it to Murdo
Mel (& Paul)
or James both of them will be sitting in a corner sobbing

Guest
Just when they think that they have got us sorted - by releasing the run extentions, developing a big new Eglu - and now you come up with Eglu mix and match bottoms - poor young lads will be turning grey! Great idea by the way
Guest
If I was James, I'd tell you to buy a can of water-based paint! Eggshell finish, of course.
Murdo
I have just been scrubbing my Eglu which is now on a nice raised platform away from muddy feet.Anyhow,I was pondering how much I would like an Orange one, when it occured to me that what I would REALLY like is an orange one with all the pale grey bits in yellow If they made the grey bits in different colours we could sort of mix & match, building our own bespoke Eglus Red with blue bits would be good, or blue with pink bits. Just don't mention it to Murdo I'd already thought of something similar. And it wasn't a nightmare either. Given that almost everything else is available separately I'd thought we could get interchangeable tops. Switch on, switch off. 'Today feels like a pink day.' Suddenly a decision becomes far less decisive, because you can just change it again. The only problem is the door which is a bigger job to change, so apart from thinking of asking Omlet to wind them up, I abandoned the idea. Cinnamon
And you could get the egg hatch door in a different colour too. I really fancy an orange main body eglu with a yellow egg hatch door & yellow base area.....James ??????
Chicken on a mission
Different coloured bits, now I like that There's no doubt about the Eglu's appeal to the more discerning element of the population but just imagine what the rest of those meer motals would make of a constantly evolving Eglu. It would be like those watches you can get with the rims that clip on and off to match what you're wearing. Quite what you'd do if you weren't wearing anything is anyone's guess I went out to buy a new iren yesteday and the overiding factor in my choice? It was purple! A sadly neglected colour in the Eglu repetoire

motherhen
Well it just proves that you should never give women a choice of colour I recommend that they make Mark 3 in Lilac only!
Lesley-Jean
Colour was invented for women. Most men are happy with grey

kannie
I'd thought a 2 colour one would be nice. And the yellow one in the pet chickens book looks lovely. But I think yellow would not be a good colour in practice, as yellow attracts flies in a big way. We had a yellow table cloth in the garden one year - not a good idea..... motherhen
I think that was mentioned as the reason why yellow was discontinued

motherhen
Sorry Annie - I should have mentioned that active membership of the forum immediatley makes all yellow eglus a fly free zone. In fact, as an owner of one of the few yellow fly free eglus, you have quite a future investment there But have another glass of wine anyway
