I'm going to come out of the closet and say I really dont like it when folk call their kid by a diminutive/derivative of a real name- Nikki, Vicky,Charlie, Billy, Jack,Sam etc.

There are twin boys at my daughters school called Mungo & Digby

 

There is also a Lewis Collins & a Dean Martin

 

Devons best friend is a boy whose surname is Jevons - we are praying they don't marry!

We've just been laughing at this thread whilst out for a walk. We also got onto twins names, and remembered in the film Beverly Hills Cop there is a mention of twins called Monique and Unique - brilliant.....

 

OH also knows twins called Shainiqua and Latifah......

 

We also know of a little girl, who looks like a mini, younger version on Deidre Barlow. She's called Whitney!!

 

Names are only really ever important to you. There will always be someone who turns their nose up to your choice. Some names , however, are just asking for trouble!

We couldn't agree on any girls names. We thought of Isla but with a surname of White we just couldn't!

 

Our god daughter was going to be called Iona, until we mentioned that it didn't really go well with Peacock!

 

We have 2 boys and just knew their names when we saw them.
