chickenlass
I hope you had a lovely time. . . I live here . . . Oh where do you live ??? In Northumberland? I was really lucky with the weather...just the one really bad wet and windy day when we just didn't leave the cottage at all. The rest of the time we were able to go every where we had planned and it seemed as if the weather held out for us each day until we were ready to go back to the the cottage. I stayed in a little village called Christon Bank between Seahouse and Alnwick...just a few miles in from the coast. Did the usual visits Bamburgh. Alnwick Gardens/castle...even went over the boarder into Scotland to see a friend who lives near Kelso. Loved the new Grace Darling museum that has opened in Bamburgh ...very well done and interesting.
AJuff
That's North Northumberland to me. I live in Hexham, a historic market town. From my window I have a fabulous view of Hexham Abbey which is flood lit at night, very pretty. I also work in town here too!
chickenlass
I saw the signs for Hexham...We went to Hadrians wall one day too.
