Cate in NZ
I bought Him Indoors a Thornton's Diabetic Choc Egg today. It looks a bit grim tbh. Sorry Egluntine, I feel a bit mean saying this, but Diabetic chocolate isn't all it's cracked up to be, just a big money spinner by the maufacturers, and most people with diabetes would do a whole heap better eating normal chocolate (better yet dark chocolate) in moderation. I do a certain amount of work with people with diabetes and I always warn them off diabetic products. Check out ......this......... for more info I have been told that "diabetic" products taste revolting too, but I've never tried them so can't say that with any real authority. Interestingly until quite recently all the major supermarkets, chemists etc all had an agreement with Diabetes UK not to stock these products, most still honour that agreement, but it's slipped over the past few years Edited March 20, 2008 by Guest

Guest
Anne, I am so pleased for you. It's the thought that counts and I know you will remember the 'because you're worth it' far longer than you will enjoy the chocolate. We used to belong to the HC tasting club too. TBH, I didn't really like most of the chocolates. They were far too rich for me and the chocolate taste was spoilt by the alcohol taste. I liked the fingers. I really like the 100% chocolate bar HC sells though. It is pure cocoa with nothing added, so I can't eat very much at a time - excellent for me! Size 8?? I'm not sure i remember being that size ever. If i was it'll have been before I was 13. I'd be very hard pushed to be a size 12, however slim I was.
