cluckbok
We've got a columbine that lays white eggs, we thought she was gonna lay blue, they still lovely though. Definately recommed columbine, she's our friendlist hen and even walks to heel with you round the garden!!

LJ's Chooks
thanks, I can't wait... we should have a white egg, chocolate brown and a blue one, so it should get really interesting as to who is laying what.

superjules
Oooh, new chickens, how exciting, sounds like you have a lovely mixture of hens planned, very colourful. I love being able to look out the window and tell who's who at a glance - with my first 2 I had to see them together for the first 3 months otherwise I couldn't tell them apart (see my avatar!) I just got some skylines. I bought 2 cos then I have to be really unlucky not to get blue eggs!
LJ's Chooks
Sounds like a great idea having 2 skylines.... not sure i could get away with adding another one... think hubby might notice.... I think he can count to 6!!
chick pick
Hi, I live in Portsmouth, whereabouts are you getting your new chickns from, bet you can't wait
LJ's Chooks
Hi Chick pick, they are coming from Eden livestock. Not used them before as only have 2 omlet chooks so far, but they have been so helpful and have a huge wait list now for chooks, so someone is obviously buying from them. they are in stockbridge. I'll let you know what they are like.

AJuff
I just got some skylines. I bought 2 cos then I have to be really unlucky not to get blue eggs! I got two skylines for that very reason and now I've got two blue egg layers!!!
xChicken04x
Just a tip- when you choose the skylines, try and get the ones with the biggest "hair-do" They will have more Araucana blood in them, meaning a better chance of getting blue eggs. xx
