chickenanne
NOOO! You're almost gauranteed to find that at least one of your colleagues/neighbours or whatever will watch the very episode you're on where you burst into tears because you're bum is too big/wobbly/saggy/whatever, complete with bad camera angles etc. I'd find that much much worse than getting my kit off in front of complete strangers who you'd never see again. Popcorn
He's a top bloke isn't he. Gok's roots are from a fairly poor area in Leicester. My next door neighbour was the janitor at his college and said he knew Gok as quite a plump child back then. He's turned it all around and he obviously speaks from experience of being over-weight and having a lack of self confidence himself. The twins last night looked brilliant. It's funny though, as most of the women that go on his show, I always think, 'well, there's nothing wrong with you' and I expect people would say the same of me too. Gok just has the knack of making us realise we are all gorgeous.
buffie
I've never watched by last night had a little look. Really quite a positive
Lesley
He really is Buffs - he's against all the 'have surgery/lose weight fast' schemes and really bases his make-overs on self esteem and making the most of what you've got. I always feel lifted after watching his programme.

Off to get a bottle of wine, must focus on something else, must focus on something else, must focus on something else.... I think he would be every girls best friend. I for one would love to meet him, give him a bear hug and just say thank you. He makes me feel so much better about myself just by watching him. I haven't seen last nights episode yet, but it's taped and poised for a confidence boost:lol:

Cate in NZ
I love his programmes too, and I think he's fabulous He's recently been in Bluewater (my local shopping centre) visiting New Look, and apparently he was brilliant with all the shoppers. Loads of Immi's teenage friends turned up, most of them with their Mums and he chatted and posed for photos in a very easy, relaxed way. They all loved him, whether 14 or 40 . Maybe it was a great act and as I say I didn't go, but the reports I've had back were glowing and unanimous................a really great guy I should've gone along, could do with a confidence boost today
Popcorn
Well I think you are fab Kate and gorgeous too and have all the right bits in all the right places and lovely shiny hair and sparkly eyes and would look great in a bin liner and you have the right sized feet and exactly ten toes. How'll that do you for a confidence boost?

Cate in NZ
...but I do have 10 toes you've got to look at the positives Kate! Well done!! Not only do I look at the positives but I accentuate them too . In these post chicken days I can wear nail varnish on my toes and go in the garden without being pecked, so I currently have pink, sparkly toe nails
Popcorn
ar, yes. I think I remember those days...........was it Buffie who used to wear lipstick whilst doing the morning eglu dash in her Pj's? Or am I thinking of Lesely wearing nothing but a trench coat to collect eggs? Got to make the most of these opportunites haven't we? You never know when you might get a compliment. Cate in NZ
It's all about confidence and feeling good in your own skin/ trench coat/lippy.........whatever makes you feel good , even if only with a feathered audience And that's where I think Gok is so fabulous, he takes women and helps them feel confident about themselves. I'm never going to see 25 again, nor 35, nor 45 for very much longer, my skin isn't luminous and wrinkle free any more, and my entire body seems to have gained an extra layer of padding over the last 20 years. But even for smooth, supple skin and a fabulous body I wouldn't want to go back to the insecurities of being a 20 year old again. Oh, and I've got great toes

Trixabell
My mum went on 'How to look good naked' she was in Gok's line up and she fell in love with him and said he couldn't stop groping her big bangers (his words not mine), she loved him and said he managed to make her feel really good about herself even though she wasn't the programmes main project lady x
