Mutrix Farmers
We've become the proud owners of a new eglu and will be taking delivery of 3 hens next week. So excited at the prospect of chickens in the garden! Have been reading lots of posts on the forum - thanks for all the handy hints and tips. Hadn't realised it could take 6 weeks before I get an egg though!! Still patience is a virtue they say!
superjules
It's not always 6 weeks, sometimes they're more obliging and you'll only have to wait 5 weeks and 6 days! Welcome to the forum!
BeckyBoo
Hi and welcome, you might be lucky and get one three hours after they arrive like we did! Mind you we had to wait a few days after that, or like our ex-batts who laid one in the box on the way home! It only depends on how old they are plus the move will upset them a little bit anyway.
