Guest
For anyone that's interested there is a programme on Channel 4 at 9pm about what really happens to our recycled waste. Might make interesting viewing

Linda
Ooh yes, I'm just settling down to watch that. It should be right up our street!!!! (the programme, not the rubbish )

Guest
If this programme was a true account of what really happens then I am at a loss for words. How come nothing was done with regard to that absolutely appalling company that appeared to be a recycling plant And the man that had the tip in the South East
Martin B
I though the programme was pretty boring!
Guest
I don't think I would have found it boring if I had lived next to one of those tips

Lesley
It was quite worrying - and even more worrying that it appeared that no-one seemed able to do much about it

Mel (& Paul)
Well put Dan!!! You have my vote! What a shame that so many people think that they can do whatever they want to without any thought on how it affects others. Annie - do you want to borrow Minky after Buffy has finished with him
Mel (& Paul)
But you are up early enough to do something about it!! (hows the head )
Mel (& Paul)
We did the same - result. All green eglu residents still inside banging their heads (but obviously not hard enough) against the door and one red eglu resident outside complaining because the door shut after her (must be on a slope ) Chickens, gotta love em Can I have some tea too please

Aylana
As a civil servant struggling to deal with the current headcount reductions that the government has already given us I wouldn't be voting for you. People have this strange idea that civil servants all sit around drinking tea all day or something and that getting rid of us will make the world better. So the government is in the process of getting rid of 100,000 civil servants and now we are in chaos. Our already understaffed department has lost 119 people and we now have a 6 month waiting list to reply to customers letters, last saturday we had more calls abandoned in our call centre (ie callers that hung up before we could get to them) than calls we actually managed to answer because we physically don't have enough staff. Then we have customer quite rightly complaining about the waits and bad customer service while the government sits on their big fat bums saying getting rid of more staff this year will make it all better?????? Those of us that haven't been made redundant are working really hard to do the best we can for our customers yet people who have been there 20 years are still at the bottom of their pay scale without a chance of going up a step, or even a thank you in most cases. Aaaaarrrrrrrrrgggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhh sorry turned into more of a rant than I anticipated. Edited April 15, 2006 by Guest
Mel (& Paul)
Dont worry Alayana - everyone deserves a rant now and again and it is good to hear from the horses mouth so we appreciate WHY there are delays etc. Rant away!!!
