hillfamily
well it's out of the oven............took far longer than the recipe to cook but I think that was because it was in a smaller deeper dish than recommended It smells gorgeous..........got to leave it cool before eating (recipe says serve at room temp) but fortunately Charlie will be home soon so we can have a late lunch DS has taken one look at it and said it's got green stuff in..........so that's ruled it out for him will post the recipe later, when I get a mo to type it out :D
chickencam
Sounds good We have a large asparagus bed which will be cropping soon and plenty of eggs so it could be a good combo.

I have been there as well. Leek and bacon as I recall. Its really nice. I havent made it for a long while. The pastry is the bit I like the least in a quiche. Hubbie prefers it with the pastry though being male and all that Likes 'proper' food

Mrs B Just use the usual quiche mix - but no cream - and whatever veg. you fancy. Grease a tin or dish and add egg mix and veg. I think SL have a recipe using a tin of Tuna? - it's a long time since I went.......bake as for quiche. It's lovely cut into wedges and eaten with a big salad and is one thing I've remembered and use quite often. I also have a version using tandoori spices and peas - I think it's a Sharwoods recipe called Coral Cushions - and I make that for picnics.
