fairy&cake
Thankyou for putting kids back into perspective. Had a really c**p afternoon yesterday with some 15 yr olds in my class. One of them knows all the buttons to press and pressed them for the whole afternoon. Anyway I was not as calm as I aspire to be and ranted at him. I made him cry and felt like crying myself!! I know I reacted to him and I shouldn't have done, but I'm only human too. Anyway I expect I will get hold of him tomorrow and apologise - I am the adult after all. Tempted by the chairs, rope and black tape - but I'd get sacked. Did once have a TA who sellotaped a boys hand up to stop him sucking his thumb....not allowed at all! OH MY GOSH! Thats awful! If someone did that to seth for stucking his tumb i'd publicly name and shame them! AWFUL. Dont worry about making him cry, he shouldnt have been naughty in the first place. Infact- i wish all teachers were like you, not taking any rubbish! Then the bullies in my school who bullied me might not have got away with it. Im sure he wont mess about again! Guest
When my eldest pair start, I stick my fingers in my ears, and sing really loudly 'I can't hear you-ooooo'. It doesn't stop them bickering, but it sure as heck drowns out the noise...

He already resents what you did (sorry) and it will just make you look weak. Instead have a chat about how you two can move your teacher-pupil relationship forwards in a positive productive way. Ana's flock
In reply to the titletwo chairs bungee cords gaffa tape And a cattle prod! ...If only I wouldn't have misplaced it! On Monday it took my 10 year old from 3:30 until 7:30 to do his homework! (Just a little page of substractions) the thing is that he's a bright young man and he'll do them on his head in a tick, and the school wants him to follow a few different written methods... he gets really frustrated and very, very easily distracted, not like me, a focused, clear headed woma... Look the choocks are out in the garden!
