Abbey Road Girl
I was surprised when I went out past dusk to see if they were all tucked up and found the two bossiest ones still wandering around. Usually they are the ones up the ladder first. It was a mostly sunny day here for a welcome change and they had quite a few treats (including the introduction of a dustbath which they ate rather than used). I guess we all have days that are so nice you don't wnat them to end...

Tracy here some nights, or during the day when i know im going out. my little silki, she is a little wippet when she moves. and out the run she goes, then parades up down the run as if to say to the others look at me. they all go mad then
Gallina
It was possible to go and shut the hens away at 8.15pm last week, but that has advanced to 8.35pm this week. I reckon to add on about twenty minutes a week to their bedtime until midsummer's day (24 June: only a month away now!) I find if I go out on spec they are always up, so it is easier to have this formula.

Gallina
Sorry, had a hen-brain moment. I think it was the nice weather back in Feb/March that makes me think it was May now.
