Roxanne
My ex-batts are producing 2 eggs a day, sometimes with softish shells or very soft shells. They have access to grit and I give them ground up egg shell but think it might be sensible to add limestone flour to their diet... something I have read about often on the forum. Where does one buy it from?
Christian
Most horse supply shops sell it, as it is fed to horses and ponies. You can also but it on ebay from Tortoise supplies (keeps their shells hard) I paid £4ish for a large tub
Roxanne
Thanks Christian. I go to G Titmuss for aubiose and food but did not see it there ... but I was looking in the chicken section, not horses. Will pop onto ebay now!! Thanks again. Olly
I don't think Titmuss sell it (I buy my feed and extras from them and they are brilliant). I got my limestone flour from Ascotts, I added a few other things to the order, of course, to make it worth the postage - I got a huge tub and it's lasting me ages. Karen & co.
I bought some from ebay at the weekend, it was £1.70 with free postage for 500grams ( I hope the drug squad aren't keeping an eye on us as it's coming in a clear poly bag ) Karen x
