Bring her in and bathe it carefully with cool salty water and try to shove it back in ....a little vaseline or similar might help. If it is very swollen, a sprint out to the chemist for some haemorrhoid ointment might be in order. Apply some and it should shrink the swollen tissue sufficiently that it will go back in. Keep her on minimum rations for a day or two so that she doesn't try to produce any more eggs for a while. Give her weetabix or barley or wheat if you can get hold of some. Best of luck. If you can't get it back in....a trip to the vets might be in order. Oh....and I'd isolate her from the others whilst it is like this to prevent pecking. She wouldn't drink and couldn't even hold her head up so there wasn't much i could do. Thank you for the help though, it was much appreciated.
