Guest
I have a pair of robins nesting in the passion flower. I was out digging most of today - and they followed me around - I thought I'd share a couple of pics to brighten your day... Phil

Guest
the starlings were out splashing in shallows of my pond today - scared the life out of the tadpoles! Phil

Mrs Frugal
Fantastic photos Phil. I love robins. They're my favourite garden visitors. I'm sure they understand what you're saying to them. We've got a pair who come to see us every day and sit on the tree above the chicken run and sing to them. Lovely birds and the best singers in the bird world . Martin B
Phil, have you ever considered becoming a part-time wildlife photographer? You get some really great photos of animals in your garden, however I notice that you haven't updated your pond blog in a while.
Paola
Amazing pics. We used to have a really tame robin at our old house that used to sit only a few feet away from our cats (maybe stupid rather then tame!). Since moving to a new build last year we get no wildlife in our garden. I do miss it.
Lesley-Jean
Fabulous pictures Phil I love Robins. An elderly neighbour of mine, whenever she saw a robin in her garden, thought it was the soul of her dead husband coming to pay her a visit. At her funeral guess what turned up...... A robin. clare*
Lovely pics I have seen a Robin popping in and out of some thick growing ivy at the bottom of my garden. My mean cat Tilly has been sat under it most of the afternoon watching
Deb Dav
What super pictures, but..... Did they wait, tap their feet and rolls their eyes you while you went and got your camera

Robins turn up often at funerals - particularly (I find) at ashes-burials where the earth is only very recently dug-over. Families are enormously cheered by their presence, it really does lift the spirit. Phil
