Well for me anyway!

 

Two of my three have been laying since last Saturday, so I was expecting them to have a day off! But both laid today, and Fair Dinkum usually has ones about 50g but todays looked really big - and it was 74g! Maybe a double yoker??

 

I'm sooo proud of her!

Exciting when you get a huge egg, isn't it . Have you eaten it yet? Was it a doubler?

I think I may put it in a cake! So far we have had 3 boiled eggs or breakfast and I'm makng a chocolate cake for the kids at the moment. I was going to make carrot cake to try to get veg into the kids! But I'm quickly running out of eggs

What a good weight, clever girl Dinks One of my girls laid an egg that weighed 72grams on Wednesday and that was a double yolker So fingers crossed!

Just had it for my lunch today - and yes, it was a double yoker! She has gone back to laying normal eggs again now. I really need more chickens as I'm running out of eggs!

Well 5 days later and I got another one - this time weighing in at 78g - I guess another double yoker. Hope it wasn't too uncomfortable for her - but you should have heard the noise she made. It's as if she knew it was worth shouting about!!!

 

Looks like I could be in for a regular supply of double yokers!

they are about 17.5 weeks now and crouching.. but I can wait.

They are in a pink plastic bowl - does give quite a nice effect - who needs jiggery pokery photo suites and hyper-complicated cameras! Took me long enough to work out photo bucket!!
