..lay a little egg for me
Our black rock lays light brown eggs with speckles too...we wondered if she was just following the fashion set for speckled eggs set by Becky the Speckledy hen! Strangely though, her yolks are much much paler than the Speckledy's...will be interested to know what colour yours is...when you have the ceremonial eating of the egg that is! Phosphorus
Isn't it funny - I don't think I will have the heart to cook it for days. I just keep looking at it on the skelter and smiling. Probably be different if she lays another tomorrow - then I think I will feel justified in eating it. Having the neighbours and kids around for a BBQ tonight - might have to open the bottle on bubbly in the fridge that has been sitting their in celebration

..lay a little egg for me
I don't think I will have the heart to cook it for days. I know what you mean! OH refused to cook any until we had a whole egg-box full! Had a baking session today and also fried eggs for lunch...none left now, so nipping out to the chooks every half hour to see if any deliveries yet today Looks like it might be a no-egg day after several 2-egg days...that must be Murphy's law right?
