Hellcat
My other half was with me when I got the Kipling. He's also the reason i DIDN'T get the Radley - he went a funny colour when he saw the price tag! But I love my new bag, its got pockets in it and a little furry monkey that sucks its thumb (gone down a treat with the kids) on a key ring. I can get a nappy and half pack of wipes in, and some crayons and paper for the other two...so important! You can tell I'm pleased, can't you? the last every day bag I got was in a rummage sale at Mulberry when I worked there. Before any kids. Blimey, a long time ago, must go and buy some more.... Hellcat
PS: also did go out shoe shopping with the littles - what a nightmare! The entire population of Somerset was in Street today, all buying shoes for children. I grabbed a pair of trainers for number 1 son, who was in direst need, and got the hell out of there! (via the Cadburys shop, of course )

Hellcat
I LOVE Humph! Bless 'im, he was a peach, and used to help me out so many times. I did the sourcing for fabric, buttons and ready to wear clothes etc and had a lot to do with him, about shipping. Great man, awful place to work, fab bags and clothes. Nuff said. Cookie
Things women say... "I need more hens" And on the other topic...I am more of a shoe lady than a bag lady but my lovely sister always buys me a bag from Monsoon for my birthday - so pretty I bought some pink sandals last week which are gorgeous - need the weather to improve a little bit so that I can wear them now Cookie. xx

Cookie
I do shoes too How about this for an illustration of how men don't understand our need for shoes.... A while ago, OH commented on how I wouldn't need any more smart shoes for work as I had three pairs and worked three days a week. Where is the logic in that?? Needless to say that was a while ago, and I still work 3 days a week but have more than 3 pairs of work shoes.... Men Cookie. xx
The Dogmother
They just don't get the shoe thing do they? Phil works from home and spends most of his time in slippers. Last month he bought 2 new pairs of shoes - that doubled his shoe collection (not including his slippers).
Guest
Chookiehubbie has 3 pairs of shoes - works shoes, trainers and boots. He just doesn't get that I need more than a pair of trainers and a pair of winter wellies - and as for bags??! Apparantly a rucksack is the only thing I need....... OH had 2 when he met me-casual boots, and smart shoes to go with a suit. he now has sandals as well and some spare old pairs. He refuses to own trainers or slippers. I have 20+ items of footware, but it never seems to be enough and I live in 1 pair of shoes/trainers generally
