I noticed on ebay that there is an upholstered sofa swing seat from the sixties for sale....how handy are you with a sewing machine, I reckon you could make one of those crazy expensive ones yourself! Milly Posted May 22, 2008 Share Posted May 22, 2008 We got a very nice wooden one 4 or 5 years ago from John Lewis (Waitrose actually). They still sell one that looks just the same (but a bit dearer). They sell cushions, but I find it's comfortable enough without. And it has wide arm rests for drinks. It's a bit pricy (I had received a generous gift to "buy something for the garden"), but we have left it outside in all weathers since we got it. It's Mike's nickname... makes me laugh too because he's so unpug-like Yes sorry Mikey called himself the pug, no idea why, when he lost his hair Anyway he's now 'my pug'. Hubby was very impressed it is hard wood and oiled (So we or rather HE needs to re oil it every year) it doesn't have cushions but doesn't need them as very comfy and only cost £79! Bargain!
