We only went for chick crumbs !!!!

Recommended Posts

After spending a couple of hours watching the new babes this morning while we were supposed to be gardening. We noticed that while the two 6 week old silver dorkings were pecking at the food they didn't seem to be eating much. I crushed some pellets up which the gobbled down really quickly so I thought maybe they hadn't yet got the hang of the growers pellets and needed some chick crumbs mixed in to help them with the transition. We went for a drive to get some and came back with: -

A bag of chick crumbs some ACV, another feeder and drinker, some peat and container for a dust bath an electric fencing kit, a seat with storage in (so I can watch the chooks and store all their goodies underneath - maybe Omlet should do one of these), 4 rolls of turf I can put in their run till we erect the electric fencing, two Barbour jackets, a 7" Wusthof classic chef knife and a Jamie Oliver flavour shaker.

Does anyone else do this or is it just us?

Excellent! Like the idea of a storage seat, might investigate that myself! My most expensive trip was wen I went out for curtain hooks and came back with a five drawer chest of drawers, a double wardrobe, triple wardrobe and two bedside cabinets! Homebase (nothing too dear! ) end of line and 20% off day. Well, it would have been rude not to!

We've just bought one for sitting and watching the chickens, storing garden toys and because it's plastic for potting as well - it isn't pretty but as it is in the corner, not a feature of the garden!

We only got ours last week and its £10 cheaper now :x
