Jules.
They are not the SLW & Cream Legbars we were hoping for, Gertrude is a Bluebelle & Rosa is a Speckledy. We got them today from Pimlotts Poultry. Gertrude & Rosa Poppy, Rosa, Gertrude & Buzz We have put them in the eglu, & Buzz & Poppy have de camped to the little shed for a few nights. Not sure if that's the best thing but it will have to do. We did try to swop the hens over so that the newies spent the night in the shed, but they woudln't come out of the run, & Poppy got in there with them & had a go at Gertrude when she got too close We've decided to let Buzz & Poppy free-range in the netted off area during the day while they all get used to each other, then let them out one evening next week all together. Hopefully lots of treats will iron out any squables.

Snowy
Aaah, they look lovely Jules. I'm sorry you couldn't get the ones you wanted, but I'm sure these girls will be equally lovely Sounds like a good plan putting the older girls in the shed for a few nights. bellekatz
Just caught up with this Jules - glad you have got your new girls and hope the introductions continue to go well - all out girls are settled and laying now - we had an 8 egg day last week!! Shame our CL doesnt seem to want to lay anymore - maybe I need another couple !!!!!! Rosa still likes to sit on my shoulder ( our little Amber Star) but their eggs are growing each time they lay! Enjoy your new ladies
Jules.
Bellekatz glad the egg drought has finished Our Rosa looks like she's going to be really soft & cuddly too like yours- she's Ethan's girl & I can imagine him walking around with her everywhere. She has a few feather quills growing on her legs which looks cute- at first I thought she had bruises on her legs
