Yeah I've had Radio One on this morning and heard Dave talking to Jo Whiley (he always sounds like the Hooded Claw off The Perils of Penelope Pitstop whenever I hear him on the Radio ). Have turned it off now cos can't stand Nihal (sp?). Am going to record Zane's show on Monday night too. Had fab holiday thanks - hotel and everything else was wonderful. Very hot - 42 degrees for first few days then it went decidedly chilly at 39 degrees Went to Cairo for day and it was amazing - all the treasures of Tutankhamen are out of this world . It doesn't feel like you are actually looking at them - very surreal. Clur Posted June 6, 2008 Share Posted June 6, 2008 I couldn't get tickets to see the Foo's, so am a bit . Will be listening on Radio 1 though! Have heard some of the Futureheads' stuff and they also sound good. To have the Foo's and LedZep playing at the same venue though, WOW!!!! Anyway, back on topic, I echo what people have said here mostly...been to the old stadium loads of times, and definitely pack a jumper for the evening and sun lotion for the day. If you're standing and want to be anywhere near the front, you need to turn up ridiculously early! It's fine taking food, just pack it in bags rather than tubs if you can. ENJOY!!!!!!!! Led Zepplin played 2 songs with the foo's. 85,000 people singing along, the atmosphere was electric and fireworks at the end. Something popped last night in my ear when i was screaming!! I've been watching some of the videos on youtube of the standing crowd and i cant quite believe me and OH were in the middle of them. Dave Grohl (lead singer of the foos) said it was the best night of his life and he actually got choked up and cried. like you said Angelpie - something we will remember for the rest of our lives, it was a emotional, spine tingling gig.
