Need to spoil my girls, any suggestions as to what will come in handy etc?

Sorry to be practical, but if you've got an Eglu I'd definitely recommend a winter shade. I use mine all the time to keep 'em in the shade, or out of the wind and rain.

I really like my girls pink Glug and Grub but if you want something to really spoil THEM.....get them some mealworms, mine go barmy for them!!

Boring suggestion, but do you have a spare set of roosting bars? I find my spare set invaluable so that I can get one lot out, scrub/clean then and put the dry/clean spare set straight back in so there's no waiting/drying time.

On a practical level:

 

I would not be without my spare roosting bars and winter shade (in that order). So if I had a voucher that would be my priority.

 

I also indulged in a spare grub and glug set too as I have 4 girls in my eglu and it is easier for my hen sitters when I'm away for a few days. And they like now having 2 grubs as all 4 feed together first thing in the morning.

 

If you havn't got any citricidal it's a useful standby for the sniffles. Or diatom (I chuck a bit in their dust bath or it can go in their food too).

 

But if you want to treat them, then definately dried mealworms.

Spare roosting bars and Citricidal would be my top 2 practical purchases from the Omlet shop too. I give my hens Citricidal all year round in their water and they're lovely healthy girls.

 

On the other hand, there are sooooo many tempting frivolous things in there too - mugs, aprons, book ends.

You can buy dried mealworms and they just come like dead worms really - bit freaky to look at but don't move or anything so don't mind them sat in the chickens cuboard!! Hehe! Mine do absolutely love them so would definately recommend them.

Hadn't thought about mealworms, have two plants in garden covered in caterpillas which they have been all over.

It is good to add to their water when they have the sniffles

 

I would get barrier red mite powder and the blue chicken jug
