Ange1
I've just tried ringing them to add an extra arch and clips plus extra glugs and grubs to my order and it went straight to answer phone saying that they are closed only open 9 - 5 though they don't say Monday - Friday! You would have thought that Saturday would be one of their most busy days, surely they are missing a trick? By the way if I will already be getting a grub and a super glug should I order another super glug to match it or order and normal glug to add a different option, or would the birds only use the ordinary glug from choice as the super glug seem like to much hard work?! Ain't Nobody Here
It's a long time since I've called Omlet so I can't really remember, but I thought they were open at the weekends . Sorry, not much help .
Egluntyne
I think the office side of things is closed. Try again first thing on Monday.
Ange1
Thanks! What do you both advise re the super glugs or normall glug theory? (see above)!
Omletina Kyckling
Hi Angel, I have an Eglu with a normal glug in it and the new cube with a super glug. My new girls took a few days to get the hang of it but now use the super glug without any problem. The advantage of it is that it holds a lot of water and doesn't get dirty like the glug as it's further off the ground. I think if you also give them a glug, they might use that for ease but then you are back to cleaning it out/filling it up more often so I'd stick with the superglug. I don't know that you need two really, I only have the one in there at the moment. Just my two penneth!! Diane
Ange1
Thanks Dianne. I was thinking of times when we go away for the weekend would two drinkers and two feeders be needed for 4 hens?
The Dogmother
They are definitely closed on a weekend.
Ange1
Thanks Claret, it's on my list of jobs to do tomorrow!
Christian
I was thinking of times when we go away for the weekend would two drinkers and two feeders be needed for 4 hens? Would definitely recommend it. When they first arrive they probably won't eat much, but when they start laying...........they eat loads!! I have 2 glugs in each eglu run and 2 grubs for 3 hens/ 1 grub for the other 2. I am often away fro 2 nights and they grubs are nearly empty when I get back. Not a problem in the winter when they aren't up so long, but in the summer I really need them. Ange1
Thanks Christian! Decision made. Right, so what's on my list so far. An extra arch, extra run clips, another super glug and another grub! Ooh maybe I could choose a different colour to tone with the lilac ones, what colour would compliment them? I've seen orange with green extra but not sure with lilac, more difficult colour... ooh purple?! I can see this is going to be very expensive, hmm, but wiorth it! The Dogmother
As Christian said, it's always good to have extra feeders and drinkers. I use glugs and troughs for the feed and big 1 litre bunny bottles for the water.
Cooks
talking of bunny bottles, I tried to find them, couldn't find one that big, all tiny little things, I will have to try again, or use the internet I guess. or!.. I could buy an orange superglug... or both..
The Dogmother
I can get the 1 litre ones locally, but they're in the Omlet shop in the GP section. http://www.omlet.co.uk/shop/shop.php?cat=Guineapig%20Extras&sub=General&product_id=
