The chicken run programmes have stolen my thunder a bit! We've planned to get chickens for years and were just waiting until it was a possibility - now's the time but it makes it look like we're on the same bandwagon as everyone else and I hate following the crowd!

When my cube came I also got a brochure, which mentions that the forum has over 1000 members- methinks it needs updating!

I just had a look back and at 31st December there were 2617 registered members We've gained over 1300 members in just under six months

The forum is certainly getting a lot busier these days, but what I love is that it still retains it's friendly relaxed atmosphere despite growing. Some of the larger forums can have an aggressive or argumentative feel to them

I've been noticing that every time you log on (far too often in my case ), there's a new member registered.

Mmmm, i've been amazed by the number of newbies lately. It's really good to see so many people joining in with all the threads on the forum, not just the chicken related ones.

It is nice to know that all these new members have taken the effort to register with a forum to help them gain chicken expertise and ask questions about their new pets

I wonder how many will actually become active forum members though - some people register and then never post, and some prefer to lurk and read (nothing wrong with that!)

 

If you look at the Memberlist, the majority of new registrations have posted less than 5 times - many have never posted.
