Popcorn
I have split this from the Final Arrangement Burghley House thread...it was seriously off topic (and off putting ) I can see Darren and I going to the August get together instead of the Burghley House. not sure how I will be with a 2 week old baby! The Dogmother
Thanks for beating me to it Kate. Gina, you just have to sit there and snooze, we'll do the rest.
Guest
Gina won't be able to snooze... she'll have the pain of chapped nipples and the baby will keep waking every 15 minutes to "snack". Gina - you may have heard of this one, but it really does work. If you get chapped nipples, put grated carrot on them (preferably organic ). They heal up in no time. Guest
It's the secret handshake. If you don't turn up with a breast pad and a carrot, you can't get in.

Popcorn
I just had visions of me sat in a coffee shop, going to breast feed and chucking grated carrot everywhere!
Chicken on a mission
I didn't need breast pads and was disappointed that I couldn't donate milk I've never heard of the carrot thing Can you imagine the colour it would turn you and baby might not be a fan of orange The cabage (has to be savoy) worked a treat although I just kept it in the fridge. Surely it would go crunchy in the freezer
Guest
It was our student midwife who recommended the grated carrot... of course, we thought she was joking at first. It's fabulous stuff though - I think it's because all the juice comes out of the carrot and... well... works it's magic. grd in the "Pants of Healing".
