Onya Bags

Recommended Posts

I came across Onya bags a while ago, but decided sadly I didn't need one.

They are apparently so strong that you wouldn't be able to lift the weight that would make them tear. And yet they are just as light, if not lighter, as a supermarket carrier bag.

Recently I came across their 'Onya Weigh' bags. In a tiny little sac with a caribina clip, there are 4 or 5 fruit/vegetable bags for use in the supermarket. They don't weigh anything, so you won't end up paying more. You won't have to use the supermarket plastic bags because you'll have your own, which can be washed and used again.

Looking at the site, I discovered you can get Onya Back (a backpack) and Onya Side (a shoulder bag) as well as the original Onya bag.

What a brilliant company! I am really impressed.

Mine arrived today. DD3 is thrilled with her carrier which she will use for her dancing gear which she has to take to school and store in her locker.

DD1 is pleased with her weighing bags - and so am I! I can see me buying more . . .!!! They are so small and light that they would take up even less room in my bag than the cotton ones I carry.

:D:D:D It's been an exciting day!

WOW! What a fab company. I was just thinking the other day about all the wasted plastic as we make three packed lunches every day . . . . and then I've just seen the wrap n mat. Fabulous. Now to ask the kids what colour they'd like!

Thank you for that. :D

I bought some of those as well!

I have just made two packed lunches and they are so easy to use. No cling film to fight with. I bought one of each - green, blue and red gingham - as I have 3 people to make for. I may invest in more at a later date.

I get so excited and cheered by these things. they really make me happy! Glad you're impressed too!

Well, we've used them today for the first time. They certainly met with my children's approval.

I make rolls for lunches and squeezing two into one wrap was a challenge but we managed. I may invest in more as time goes by!

I can't tell you yet about durability but they seem good quality. I plan to machine wash them on Fridays and wipe them down during the week.

I sent the link to my daughter - and she was wondering how durable the wraps might be - we'll need regular updates Ginette!

I've ordered one each for us as, although I'm at home, I make my sandwiches at the same time as Carl's............. but I don't think ( ) Carl flings his around in a schoolbag or the school dining room so we won't be testing them in school conditions.

As I said, they seem to be very good quality and I would guess that they are very durable (no matter what Carl does with them!). But I guess only time will tell. I haven't put them in the machine yet, only wiped them down. They still look and feel new after 1 use though!
