Cate in NZ
Welcome back Andrew, hope you had a great holiday and a wonderful birthday. Now I hope you've nothing planned for Saturday, you'll probably need to put aside a decent chunk of it for catching up with the forum. Potted version Ummmm, new babies (Diana & Gina), new chooks (AnnieP, Rachel19 and Wiggle), new Eglu (Cinnamon). Hilarious BB updates courtesy of Shona. Several dreadful fox attacks. I can't remember the rest, you'll just have to read it all for yourself. Good luck

Phil I always thought you had that role covered Phil No Sarah! I'm the grumpy old Uncle who the kids have to be bribed to go and visit.. "Come on children - we only have to visit once a year - and we'll take you to a theme park and buy you lots if sweets if you pretend to like him for the afternoon" Phil

Guest
But you are eccentric though OK - eccentric grumpy old Uncle who the kids have to be bribed to go and visit.. Phil (not related to Aunty E) speaking of which... I have an aunt called Aunty Joan - she's my only Aunt, in fact. My daughter got so used to us saying "we're going to Aunty Joan's" that she always thought she was called "Aunty Jones" - so now she is! Even outside the family, Aunty Joan refers to herself as Aunty Jones!!
One Man Banned
Don't know what I am setting myself in for posting this but hey ho... When my nephew Trystan was still trying to learn names he always strugged with Andrew - he could say mam dad nan bamp and even joe! - just not my name One day his mum was taking the preverbial as I had just come back from having the hair restyled and what with all the preening she looked at Trystan and said call him Barbie ........I'm now known as Uncle Barbie - which is kinda sweet He was at my mums the other week and she called him over to speak to me saying "come speak to Uncle Andrew" - he ignored her- Told mumsie to say "Come talk to Uncle Barbie" - he dropped his toys and come screaming to the phone "UNCLE BARBIE!!!!" Kinda sets me apart from his other Uncle's and Aunt's though!!
Guest
My kids (when they were much younger) couldn't say "Martin" - my brother's name.. in the end they settled on Uncle Marmite - it's kinda stuck!! Phil
