Chinky was in the Wishing Chair but I don't know if the chair and feather books are based on the same characters.

I have this funny feeling its something like 'Scampy' or 'Skimpy' or 'Silky' or something . I think it might have that "imp" sound in it though. I might just go out and buy it . When you Google it - you get a great long list of Enid Blyton books - but doesnt say the lil pixies blimmin' name . Thanks for looking though

one of my happiest memories when my daughters were young is of reading them the magic faraway tree books - I loved them as a child and it was amazing to realise how strong the images and stories still were in my mind! can't help with the question though, sorry...

I absolutely loved the Enchanted Wood/Magic Faraway Tree books. I used to think that I could talk to trees if I tried hard enough. I was desperate to have a go on the Slippery Slip too. I think the old Saucepan Man was my favourite character.
