Please forgive me my proud mummy moment, but one of my 8 year olds has just brought home this acrostic he did at school (the spelling mistakes are all his!)

CHICKENS

Cute chickens are lovely and cuddly

Hens are smaller than cockarals

I like chickens

Chickens like corn and meal worms

Kind chickens run up to you

Every chicken is funny and special

Norty chickens bully other chickens

Snug chickens sit in there bed at night
