Has anyone used software to put dvds onto your ipod (Fred?)

Never tried Audacity for iPods although it is a great tool. I use Super which will just about convert anything to anything! And is free to download. The only downside is the lack of support so you have to poke around a bit to get it to do what you want.

Are you sure Liz? They only seem to do audio not video stuff. I'm probably wrong though, my brain is a bit fuzzy this evening!

I'm not entirely sure, it's just a suggestion as I know that it can do this for music. If you're loading the actual disc on to your ipod won't it change it through itunes?

Nope, Itunes wont convert it and Audacity is just for music, but I would go for super.

This is interesting to me as I have just found out that there will be NO ENTERTAINMENT AT ALL on my flight next week.

I have a bog standard Nano in green which I bought last year - can I watch converted DVD's on that or do I need to upgrade to the flashy new expensive one?:lol:

So if I understand this correctly "Super" will allow me to transfer MY "purchased dvd's" onto my 60gb Video ipod Y/N ?

and if yes,

could I also put video from my camera onto my ipod ????
