WitchHazel
How great is this? (If you're an Ocado shopper I mean). Assuming your holiday destination is within their delivery area, Ocado will now deliver to you there, This was in an email I received from them today If you're planning to spend your holidays in England this summer, there's no need to miss out on your favourite Ocado groceries. Just let us know where you are by adding your holiday address to your delivery address book, under 'Details & Settings' and, as long as it's within our delivery area, we'll bring your groceries straight to you. Sadly the place I'm going isn't within their delivery area, but I really wish it was!
Tina C
Do you think they would deliver to a campsite?
Mutrix Farmers
Nice bit of customer service. We're staying half way up a mountain in the Lake District later this year, bet they don't deliver there!!
WitchHazel
Do you think they would deliver to a campsite? They might well do, as long as they have a specific van to deliver to - you could email them and ask?

chelsea
oh I so wished they delivered here (but they dont ) Im a bit miffed with Sainsburys at the moment as they have put their delivery costs up. What are they charging Chelsea? £6.50 now on a friday or saturday (it was £5) and now there is no minimum spend. I wrote to Sainsburys as we spend £90-120 a week with them so we pay the same price for delivery as someone who spends £5! I appreciate fuel has gone up, they have a £3.50 delivery slot on a wednesday afternoon - but who wants their shopping on a wednesday?!! - I would have run out of food by the weekend! crazygal
When I was staying on a campsite in Croyde Devon a few years ago a Tesco delivery van drove up to a tent in the field and unloaded tons of stuff. We were but did think what a cool idea- so yes it can be done- just depends on your preferred supplier
Tessa the Duchess
I appreciate fuel has gone up, they have a £3.50 delivery slot on a wednesday afternoon - but who wants their shopping on a wednesday?!! - I would have run out of food by the weekend! I always have my Sainsbury shopping delivered on a Wednesday, delivery used to be £2.50 on Tues, Wed and Thurs as long as you spend more than £70. I didn't realise their prices have gone up I only do a shop every three weeks. Seriously Chelsea with a fridge and freezer how would you run out of food in three days? chelsea
Seriously Chelsea with a fridge and freezer how would you run out of food in three days? Tessa I have a very small freezer, and my fridge is full on shopping day but with a husband who eats for England (and doesnt put on any weight) it soon disappears! And with the short use by dates of the fresh food (for packed lunches) most of it would be out of date by the following working week. Guest
I've suggested it to mother and she's pointed out how helpful the Ocado men are in bringing everything into your kitchen..... I can see him now carrying my bags of shopping to my stateroom...Then waiting whilst the cabin steward unpacks for me so that he can take the bags back. gazpachodragon
we did this with tesco when we went away to got married - got everything for the night-before-party, and all the stuff we needed for the reception (it was a bit of an adhoc wedding!) all delivered to the door. we'd never have got everything in the car otherwise, and also the tesco man came back to join the party! gazpachodragon
, and also the tesco man came back to join the party! we ended up with the farmer from next door to the holiday cottage, a postman who'd given my friends a lift because they'd got lost, the band for our actual wedding, the landlord of the local pub (where my parents were staying), the owner of the b&b my friends were staying in, a neighbour who gave another set of friends directions, then decided it would be easier to walk them over, the tesco man, the barmaid of our wedding venue and a couple of locals who wanted to 'meet the crazies getting married down a cave'. was a great party, but i'd no clue who half the guests were!
