Would this work?

I thought it might be ok for a portion of the run where the sun is so it would provide shade too. I worry with the clear shower curtains I have that if I left them on incase of rain it would be like a green house if you see what I mean.

Me too - can't remember how long your run is, but our shower curtain only covers two thirds of our run so if it did get hot, there's still space for them that wouldn't be in the sun. And our run is positioned so it gets shade from fairly on in the afternoon.

We have just spent this afternoon adding the converter and extention that my friend gave me so they have a 4metre tunnel lol.

I see you have a full house of eggs now too, how exciting :D an egg for each of your beautiful daughters. I got my first not shoved into the poo tray egg today too lol. 45g, very cute :D

I made the mistake of buying a very big one from a car shop. As my walk in run is very large, I thought I'd get a large one! Unfortunately it isn't easy to hang from the roof of the run, and not easy to put over the top of the corregated roof! But it does make a good pool cover, so I'm using it on the paddling pool now to keep bugs out when not in use! I'm going to try to cut a section of ground cover membrane (the woven sort) and attach that from the roof with cable ties.

Yolky I bought the topgrade taurpaulin from this company to cover our walk in run. I choose green to match the eglu! They are very good at keeping the run dry but they do pool water. It is easily solved by buying a drain kit. I direct water from the cover to a water butt but am considering directing it to the glug!!!

They only let a little bit of light through but that didn't worry me as they get plenty of light in from both sides of the run.

I could post a picture of cover run if you want to see it before you buy?

I bought a green tent ground sheet from Asda for under a fiver (About £3-£4) it has eyelets and as I have a home made run i use it as a sun shade folded in half and as a rain cover when i open it out. I use those ring hooks climber use (Carabiner? (sp)) so it can just click into place onto the wire run. Green also looks a lot less 'in your face'

Last winter, we bought a length of clear heavy plastic from a local hardware shop and it covered the entire run. (It cost about £3.00.) We tucked it under the bricks which we've put on the skirts of the run. Obviously we left the door end completely open, so the girls got plenty of fresh air and some raindrops - they do love supping raindrops from the run bars - but further into the run, they were sheltered from wind and rain whilst still getting some light. We will definitely be doing the same thing this winter.
