Ain't Nobody Here
We've had our fair share of overseas hospital trips, at one point it felt as though a holiday wasn't complete without a trip to A&E What kind of family holidays did you go on ? Bungee jumping? White water rafting? Pamplona bull running?
lizinsa
Welcome back, I've missed your witty posts The pics make it look like you had a fabulous time in a wonderful and beautiful country. Glad your son in ok, it's definitely a trip you'll remember Can't believe you have to supply your own looroll in Italian hospitals it would be the last thing you'd want to worry about when ill. Edit: Have just told my Mum and she said that her Auntie would always take in her own loo roll when going in to hospital, apparently she even refused to go to the hospital once until the ambulanceman got some out of the bathroom!!! Guest
are you edinburgh way too shona? cool, does that mean we get to snuggle with squidger? I'm Edinburgh born and bred, but moved down to the Borders last year. It's a quick jaunt up the A1 to get back. I'm happy to hire Squidger out for cuddles at a meet - 50p for 5 minutes I would think.....

Popcorn
Awww....those pictures remind me so much of our Honeymoon. We did a bit of a tour round northern Italy and stayed for a few night in a beautiful farmhouse with similar views. It was magical. Loved every minute. Your photo's are great. I wished I was back there.

Cate in NZ
Lovely photos ANH, looks like a beautiful place to visit . Sorry to hear about ES, rotten way to spend part of the holiday, but than goodness he was wearing a helmet.....sounds like without it things could have been a lot worse. Good to see you back on the forum
Clash City Rocker
Did you get to Rome? and how was it? or did your plans have to change !!! Yes, we did get there! It was before the crash. We had 2 nights and one full day in Rome. Managed to see most of the major sights but it was very hot and the boys weren't too impressed with all the pavement plodding and the crowds. I think they now appreciate the type of holiday we've always taken them on up to now (self-catering, DIY holidays in the UK or northern Europe!) Honestly . Some people just can't control their offspring . The other side of the Street !!!!!
